As the year draws to a close the Trees especially the Acers show off their fabulous colours, yellows, reds and golds. Walk through the ravine with wonderful Autmn colours and waterfalls cascading from pool to pool a site to be seen.

In the autumn the ornamental waterfowl are in their best colours, the Mandarins one of the most beautifull of all the waterfowl family, Smew, Golden Eye, Buffleheads and many many more are a delight to see and photograph. Also at Pen-Y-Ffrith the woodland and gardens come into a blaze of colours, reds, yellows and tones of gold, with many of the Acers the most striking of glorious reds and purples.

The planting of trees, conifers and shrubs is an ongoing programme, so each autumn is eagerly looked forward to. To sit in the quietness of the woodlands at Pen-Y-Ffrith is something to enjoy and remember for a long time.
